Nestle your hands around a warm mug of cozy Apple Tea with aromatic cinnamon and cloves. A drizzle of honey adds the perfect amount of sweetness and all apples are welcome.
Those store-bought teas are great, but making homemade tea is fantastic! Not only is it really, really healthy for you— but your whole entire kitchen will smell AAMAZING! Kind of like a fall-scented candle.
Ingredients to Make Apple Tea
The ingredients listed are in no particular order.
Apples— any apple used will be great. I used granny smith apple for a slight tartness. There is no need to peel off the skin.
Cinnamon—use a cinnamon stick, not the powder. The sticks can have a spicier note and can be removed in the end if needed.
Cloves—I mean does any other spice say winter is coming? It pairs perfectly with apples and anything “fall-esk”.
Honey—will add additional sweetness. However, feel free to be content with the all-natural sweetness of the apples.
Tips and Variations
Don’t boil the apples on high. This will only break the apples apart creating watery apple sauce. Low and slow is key.
Add fresh turmeric, ginger, or even dried lavender. All would work great here.
